HARNESS

How to use HARNESS

This guide previews the 1.1.4 release. New features apply after release and may differ from your installed version.

Decide what, when and how much

Choose a 1-, 2- or 4-week period and recurring weekdays or individual dates within it. Select Study, Reading, Exercise, Creative or Other and enter a project name. Choose a daily goal or enter 1–480 minutes.

Choose whether to restrict recording to a place. If enabled, set a place and verification radius. If disabled, you can start manual recording without a location check.

Choose a start date from today through 30 days from today in KST. If time restrictions are enabled, set an allowed window at least as long as the daily goal. A 22:00–02:00 window permits 00:00–02:00 and 22:00–24:00 on each selected KST date. The next date must also be in the schedule to record on that date.

Example: read for 60 minutes each weekday for one week, Monday through Friday, for five sessions. Start and end dates and conditions through today remain fixed. Goals, windows, places and activity dates from tomorrow onward can be changed within the fixed period. No recording is required on rest days.

Record the time you spend

Choose your project on the Android timer screen. When location restrictions are enabled, start after the place is verified. Without them, you can start manually without a location check. Only one timer can run per account at a time.

Tap Start when you begin and pause for breaks. Location checks continue during recording when enabled. Leaving the place pauses recording; it resumes automatically when location and time conditions are met again. Periods with uncertain location may not count.

For automatic recording, first allow it in the project, then turn on this device's master automatic-recording switch, which is OFF by default, and the individual project switch. Project switches do not operate while the master switch is OFF. Separate consent and background location permission are required. Location may be checked while the screen is off or another app is in use. Turning it off or reaching the daily goal stops location collection for that project's automatic recording.

Verified time is reflected on the server while recording. Tap Save when finished and check the completion indicator. Review saved time by date in Records.

Each activity day closes at midnight KST. Time is recorded with the timer, not entered manually. Personal records sent late because of connection delays are handled separately from league scores that have already closed.

Review today's progress and past records

Compare activity time with your daily goal on the timer screen and review records by date. Extra activity on one day does not replace another day's goal. For example, 30 of 60 minutes is 50% of the daily goal.

Invite friends to a shared challenge. People who consent to joining and sharing records can compare today's time and cumulative time for the challenge. Leaving stops sharing while preserving personal projects and records.

With time restrictions ON, only the allowed window counts. With them OFF, recording is possible regardless of time window. Location restrictions are selected separately.

Finish a project and prepare the next one

Review activity through the final day. Records remain available by date after the project ends. You can run up to two projects concurrently with HARNESS Plus.

You can end a project early from the project screen; saved records remain. Cancel the subscription separately in Google Play subscription management.
