HARNESS

Frequently asked questions

This is preparation guidance for release 1.1.4. New features apply after release and may differ from your installed version.

Do I have to enable automatic recording?

Planned for the international release: No. It is optional. It records time spent at a place only after you allow automatic recording for the project, manually enable this device's master automatic-recording switch (OFF by default) and the project switch, consent to background location processing and grant permission. Location is checked even with the screen off or another app in use. Turning it off or reaching the daily goal stops location collection for that project's automatic recording. You can also start the timer manually.

What is shared when I join a league?

Planned for the international release: After you explicitly consent to participation and disclosure, participants in your competition group can see your league nickname, avatar, representative badge, score and rank. You can withdraw participation and disclosure consent by leaving the league, while keeping personal projects and records. Under the new rules, base points for recording with location restrictions OFF, and related bonuses and EXP, are 85% of location-verified recording. Earlier scores do not change.

What projects can I create?

Choose Study, Reading, Exercise, Creative or Other, then set a place, days and daily goal. HARNESS Plus supports two concurrent projects.

How is my location checked?

Projects with location restrictions check location on the timer screen and during recording. Leaving pauses the timer; it automatically resumes when location and time conditions return. A location gap counts only when both ends are inside the place and the gap is no longer than five minutes. Longer gaps are excluded in full. Periods involving power-off, force-stop, reboot or clock changes are excluded immediately. Turn location restrictions off to record manually without location checks.

How do I pay for HARNESS Plus?

HARNESS Plus is a monthly auto-renewing Google Play subscription. Check Google Play for the final local price and purchase terms. Subscription pricing does not vary by project length or weekly activity frequency. One-time products are separate purchases based on the selected period and frequency. Check the purchase screen for the applicable way to use the service.

Can I run several timers?

You can have up to two concurrent projects, but only one timer can run per account at a time.

Can I challenge friends?

You can invite friends to a shared challenge. Participants who consent to joining and sharing records can compare today's recorded time and cumulative time during the challenge. Leaving preserves personal projects and records.

What if I do not reach my daily goal?

The time verified and saved that day remains in your records. Compare it with today's goal and review activity time by date.

Can I record outside my chosen time window?

With time restrictions ON, recording is limited to the allowed window. With them OFF, you can record regardless of the window. Location restrictions are a separate choice.

How do I choose activity days?

Choose a 1-, 2- or 4-week project and recurring weekdays or individual dates within it. The start date can be today through 30 days from today in KST. Conditions through today stay unchanged; activity dates from tomorrow onward can be edited within the fixed project period.

How do daily goals and time windows work?

Choose a daily goal or enter 1–480 minutes. If time restrictions are ON, choose a window at least as long as the daily goal. A window crossing midnight, such as 22:00–02:00, permits 00:00–02:00 and 22:00–24:00 on each selected KST date. Include the next date in the schedule to record on that date.

How do I save measured time?

Verified time is reflected on the server while the timer runs. Tap Save when finished and check the completion indicator. View saved time by date in Records.

When do daily records close?

Each activity day closes at midnight KST. Record with the timer; time cannot be entered manually or added or corrected retrospectively.

Can I use HARNESS on a PC?

Sign in with the same account on the web to view projects and saved records. Time measurement is available in the Android app.

What happens when I end a project?

The project's timer use ends and saved records remain. Ending a project and canceling a subscription are separate actions.

Where do I cancel a subscription or request a refund?

Cancel through Google Play subscription management. You can continue using the service for the remaining subscription period. See the cancellation and refund guide for purchase cancellation and refunds.

Where can I find installation information?

The download page provides the Google Play download link and the web access route.
